We grade to finished product ie. VVS-IF means the stone will cut a VVS-IF stone. VVS means it will cut a VVS stone, VS means it will cut a VS stone and so on. We have been using this system for the last 15 years and it just makes sense and more exact. We don't use the Eye Clean System as technically everything is eye clean, it just depends how much and which light you are observing it with and who is looking at it!!
